Caffe Culture Wins Prestigious Event Industry Award
Caffè Culture, the UK’s only event specifically catering for the needs of the café and coffee bar market, has won the award forBest Launch Trade Show at the 2007 Association of Exhibition Organiser’s (AEO) Awards.
Organised by Upper Street Events, the second Caffè Culture took place last month at Olympia (23 & 24 May) and attracted over 165 exhibitors and 4,377 visitors. Each year, the prestigious award is presented to the organiser that delivers the most effective launch exhibition for a trade audience. Caffè Culture’s launch took place in May 2006 and attracted over 3,500 visitors, along with a huge array of the catering industry’s major players.
Among those collecting the award at the AEO’s annual ceremony at Old Billingsgate on Thursday 14th June was Event Director, Elliot Gard. Commenting on the accolade Gard says: “We are absolutely thrilled. We have been overwhelmed with the response we’ve had to the launch of Caffè Culture, the industry has fully embraced the event, which provides the only dedicated forum for suppliers and buyers to come together to network, share ideas and do business. This year saw a 30% increase in both visitor and exhibitor attendance, well and truly establishing Caffè Culture as the premier event for the café and coffee bar market. With further growth and new features planned for the 2008 event, we are looking forward to an exciting year ahead.”
Dan Holmes, Group Event Director, Upper Street Events, adds: “It is hugely rewarding to have Caffè Culture recognised and celebrated in this way. We
spent a great deal of time working with key players within the catering industry to create an event that works for visitors and exhibitors alike and are delighted that we have delivered, and exceeded, all of our targets for the first two years. This is just the first of a series of launch events to be announced by Upper Street Events over the next two years and we are extremely pleased with how positively it has been received.”
Caffè Culture 2008 will take place at Olympia, London on 21 & 22 May. For more information visit www.caffeculture.com, call Elliot Gard on +44 (0) 207 288 6191 or email elliotg@upperstreetevents.co.uk
