Discover the creative energy of the next generation at New Designers 2009

July’s two part New Designers exhibition, at the Business Design Centre – Islington, promises to reveal yet another fantastic showcase of dynamic graduate talent representing all design disciplines. The future generation of design stars present original and fresh ideas from fashion accessories to furniture, architecture to applied arts, graphics to glass, new media to contemporary craft, as well as textiles, graphics and illustration.

Over 4,000 graduates will use New Designers 2009 to launch their careers, introducing their originality and talent to more than18,000 visitors who include buyers, galleries, commissioning agents and prospective employers.

An inspirational and motivating platform, New Designers also plays a supportive professional role offering a series of talks and seminars about careers in design during both parts of the show.

Alongside the class of 2009 is the ever popular One Year On feature. Success stories, original ideas and outstanding creativity are selected by leading editors and opinion formers and given the opportunity of this very special showcase. These young, creative entrepreneurs established their own design businesses in the last year – and are already forging vibrant reputations. This showcase is curated and presented by manufacturer and retailer Thorsten van Elten.
