Unveiling what the cycling industry can look forward to in 2010
Earls Court, London, 8th Oct 2009
With more exhibitors, talks from industry experts and previews of 2010’s cycling trends, the Cycle Show brings everyone from the cycling industry together under one roof, making it a networking opportunity not to be missed. 2008 was a record year for the Cycle Show with 3,409 trade visitors taking advantage of the unique opportunities the event had to offer. 88% of the trade visitors said the Cycle Show trade day was extremely important for the UK cycling industry, with 80% coming to see product launches and gauge trends in the market.
Last year the Cycle Show trade visitors were asked what areas of the industry could be better represented and 79% said none. The organisers whilst flattered, are working even harder to increase the number of bike and accessory exhibiting, plus they will be launching new initiatives to give the show a fresh appeal. One area on the agenda is providing more content in show for the female market. Many of the UK’s top manufacturers and distributors are already confirmed to exhibit at the show this year. In addition to the broad networking opportunities available for trade visitors, the shows main Arena will host an extensive programme of topical seminars and debates from leading industry figures. The programme will offer advice and address critical issues facing the industry, from how to maximise profits through innovative retail design, to leading financial experts providing insight into how to play the exchange rate game and maximise better return for business.
Cycle Show’s Event Director Andrew Brabazon said: “The Cycle Show appears to be mirroring the industry, by bucking the general economic trend. Cycling really is on a roll, and The Cycle Show has cemented itself as the industry’s showcase.”
